不被定义，永远流动。2022年9月29日，fibre新展 RUBY 9100M by Ruby 将在全新空间 上海市静安区胶州路273弄12号（XC 273）3楼 正式对公众开放。此次展览由fibre主办，áunn museum提供学术支持，美藏数字科技提供技术支持，它是对艺术家Ruby在赛博艺术领域实践的一次重要梳理。当下，虚拟世界和现实世界的互相角力和侵占越发白热化。对于后千禧世代而言，游戏、社交媒体、网络社群的发展与迭代伴随着他们过往的经验。RUBY 9100M作为一个赛博格虚拟人类，她是艺术家Ruby数据化的映射。本尊的情感、心态、文化、艺术、时尚等纷纷转化成二进制的数据，复制进化成为的数码物——RUBY 9100M。她被包裹在茧中，多变、艳丽、迷幻、分裂，她孕育着一个更强大的真实，在人类与“超人类”之间转换。人类与虚拟人不再各自居于塔桥的两端对立而居。在弱化身份、语境及性别的环境中，Self-Portrait系列的RUBY 9100M表现出更加超人的外表和人性化的情绪。机器化的冷硬四肢和皮肤外，她细微的表情和肢体动作流露出的却是压抑的忧郁和蓬勃的表达张力。她带着属于Ruby的记忆与经验而生，但又非仅限于此。作品表达性别认知的危机的语境下，世界、生活、情感、记忆、自我审视……围绕这些话题不断萦绕聚合的重生。展览打破线上空间与线下空间的屏障，在特定的物理空间中为观者打造一个虚拟与现实交融的多元环境。

fibre is pleased to present the exhibition RUBY 9100M by Ruby at a brand new venue -- XC 273. Organized by fibre, with academic support from áunn museum and technical support from MEICANG, this exhibition is a compendium of the artist's practice in cyber art.

Nowadays, the virtual and physical worlds are becoming more and more contested and intensively encroaching on each other. For post-millennials, the development and iteration of games, social media, and online communities are accompanied by past experiences. RUBY 9100M is a transhuman virtual being as well as a digital alter-ego of her creator. Ruby's avatar has become a self-evolving identity of her creator's vision. It allows her to express her emotion, mentality, culture, artistry, fashion, etc., in ways she might not be able to in the physical world.

Wrapped in a cocoon, she is fluid, voluptuous, psychedelic, and divisive, and she nurtures a more powerful reality that shifts between human and "superhuman". Humans and avatars no longer live on opposite sides of the bridge. In the environment of weakened identity, context, and gender, RUBY 9100M in the Self-Portrait series unveils a superhuman appearance and humanized emotions. Apart from her mechanized limbs and skin, the subtle expressions and the body movements reveal a repressed melancholy and a vibrant face. She is born with Ruby's memories and experiences, but not only that. The exhibition breaks the online and offline barriers and creates a multifaceted environment in a specific physical space where virtual and reality are intertwined.

Ruby | 艺术家。生于香港，在上海工作、生活，她在现实与虚拟中无限循环地创造着“我”与更多面性的“我”。她过去的作品曾在Superchief Gallery, VR World NYC, Metronom Gallery, James Black Gallery等地展示。Ruby曾参与Nike，Adidas，Ambush , Balmain , Bvlgari, Fendi, Vivienne Westwood, Diesel, Shiseido, Dyson, Christian Dior, Apple, Asus, Ray Ban, Armani, Clarins, Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Valentino, Diptyque等品牌艺术家合作。
